·holds a Post-graduate Diploma in Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia) (Level 7) validated by the University of York
·holds appropriate qualifications including a Current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) to undertake diagnostic and exam access arrangement assessments
·worked for Dyslexia Action for 8 years, was Senior Specialist Teacher for Sheffield Centre and Maths Lead for the organisation
·developed the STEPS & BITS teaching programmes, and delivered training, to enable specialist teachers to support individuals with maths difficulties
·trained initially as a Teacher of the Deaf at the University of Manchester and subsequently undertook further postgraduate qualifications in special educational needs and teaching in a multilingual society
