A Literacy Learning Profile Assessment is completed by an experienced specialist teacher.
This is an appropriate assessment for a younger child (up to 7 years old) or any other for whom the lengthier, diagnostic assessment would be unsuitable.
This level of assessment identifies patterns of strengths and weaknesses but does not permit a definitive diagnosis of dyslexia to be made.
It involves investigation of current literacy (reading, spelling and writing) levels and some assessment of underlying cognitive and information processing ability.
A short report is produced detailing the findings and containing recommendations.
