Sheffield Dyslexia Centre

Teaching, Assessing, Supporting

Who we are

Together, we the staff at Sheffield Dyslexia Centre have over 50 years of experience of working with children and adults with dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties and further decades of teaching experience in mainstream and other educational settings.

Until recently, we all worked for the national charity Dyslexia Action, based in the same building. A change in management and ethos resulted in our decision to set up this new organisation Sheffield Dyslexia Centre (SDC).

For those of you who knew us before, we would like to reassure you that we will be offering the same high level of service and care as before.

To those of you who are new to us, welcome. We offer free advice sessions. Come to discuss your particular situation and we will attempt to provide the service you need, whether this is in the form of just a little advice, an assessment, a short course of support or more long term tuition.
